CEIA SpA is market leader in the production of Metal Detectors for security purposes. Ceia started its business activity at the end of the sixties. In that period, the growing demand for security at access points to airports and banks stimulated the company to move in the direction of research into Walk Through and Hand-Held Security Metal Detectors to detect weapons carried on the person. In the last thirty years, CEIA has introduced eight generations of Walk Through Metal Detectors, each successive generation featuring increased levels of security performance in their metal detection capability, discrimination of personal metal objects and immunity to outside interference. The qualitative level of these security metal detectors is today recognized throughout the world by the private companies and government bodies that have chosen them, after thorough technical and comparative testing, to protect their most strategic and sensitive access points.
